Warmth

Today has been a day for staying in-catching up on work and jobs, with a little sewing, drawing and sticking thrown in. Reading books and magazines and eating a tasty meal. It has been lovely! The cats have taken full advantage of the lovely warm house, flopping around together on the bed, and now in a row in front of the fire. Good really, as this morning they started off in a fighting mood-they were doing the cat equivalent of bickering. I moved enough of my junk off the table to make room to eat, and to have candles. I do love candles and should remember to have them more often. We also had some delicious red wine-that tasted really blackcurranty, and with the candle light shining through it showed a deep purple colour in its depths.
For tips on how to relax, please carefully observe Cassie, Lilly and Tiger.

Oh, what is more relaxed than a cat curled with its head upturned or its nose tucked in to its paws? Method noted.
The wine sounds lovely - the whole day sounds lovely. I'm so envious!

The kitties are well accomplished relaxers- they probably feel cozy having you at home with them , candles and wine...it's a love affair!

Now that almost makes me wish for some Winter weather...and those cats sure look comfy.

But perhaps not, nothing like some long lazy summer days to look forward to.

Yes, when it comes to enjoying being cozy the cats are most accomplished. It looks like you had a great day doing just what you needed to take a break from a week of work. Sewing, drawing, good food and a fire. Who could ask for more? Hope the new week goes well for you.

It all sounds so lovely. The bestest kind of day.
Been great catching up with you. Just in case you hadn't thought of it, be careful with your cottons. I was reading somewhere where a cat had swallowed some and needed surgery. I must admit it's not something I had thought of. I think Jewel is more than capable of snacking on a cotton reel and ending up with it wrapped around her teeth or worse.
Have a good week.

Sounds like a very good weekend--and just as weekends ought to be, a little bit of every enjoyment. :o) LOVE these ambient photos, Sara! Happy new week ((HUGS))

It sounds like you had a great Sunday!
I'm back to my new home now and after a four-hour drive, I unpacked everything, had dinner and now I'm having a nice cuppa.
Hope you're having a wonderful week!

Cats really do have that relaxation thing down to a fine art don't they? Beautiful girls. And how lovely the colour of that wine is is gorgeous!
