Crazy Horses
A small and not very accurate tribute to Eadweard Muybridge. I used the picture of the horse running to make a pocket to keep the small booklet from the exhibition, then, really quite quickly, sketched the horses. Tonight it occurred to me to make my own little animated horse. The first one is at the 'normal' speed and the second one is 'faster'. I think the faster one is better.
Just idly flicking through blogs before going to bed when I found this. I found it here. For artists who need to draw people but have no people to draw! It is amazing-it has lots of poses, all of which can be turned with the mouse to give a 360 degree view. It also has animated movements-a few anyway. I love the internet!

I like the fast one best- they are very cheerful!
These are really sweet, Sarah. Reminds me of the books I had as a kid and at the bottom they had pictures on it that moved like horses when you flipped them really fast.
How did you post the animation??? What software? New toy! New toy! I love both running horses. But I think you're right the faster one is better.
Love the second one. I use to make flip books when I was a teenager. They are so fun. Don't know how you animated this but it's neat!
The animated gifs are so funny. I remember doing a school presentation of this subject. It went really badly but it was a good subject to research.
I like both of them - maybe the fast one a little bit more! I am so envious of your skills - being able to draw and your animations!!
I like them both - you've really captured the movement! I followed the links - wow!
OH, this is a cool, cool page!! And post! Sloane is down with strep throat, today. So, I'm home and grabbing the chance to catch up on neglected tasks and treats. The first thing I did when I woke up was come to the computer to start visiting my friends. So. Here I am. Hello friend.
and i love you,
and your FAST horse.
I just love your little animations! So clever. Yes, I prefer the faster one. You have a better sense of the horse's movement. Ros
