I have finished her dress. I may still make her a cloak, as that is what she is used to. Peggy is her name. After my great aunt, who lived in Australia for a lot of her life. I have vague memories of her trying to teach me to crochet, and I have one of her crochet hooks that I have used a lot since I actually did learn. Also after the fact that she is made of wood pegged together with more wood. Perhaps I should give her old clothes to the doll charity shop.

What a lovely hobby! Do you mind me asking about your bright green playdough in a previous post? How do you get that vibrant colour. I am a nursery teacher too and my playdough is always pastel despite an abundance of food colouring. Share your secret please? Thank you
Hi Mary,
I used that food paste colouring rather than ordinary food colouring. Three out of four batches were fine but I have to say the green one was unusable-no matter how much extra flour I added it stayed incredibly sticky and smeary. This week I just went back to quick mix no cook playdough! A good no cook playdough recipe to get colours uses poster paint.
2 cups flour, 1 of salt, 1 of water with a tablespoon of poster paint and one of liquid soap.

Hello there! Sorry to have not been around over the last week or so, but we had a visit from the dreaded OFSET inspectors. Although we survived, it leaves everyone totally wiped, as I'm sure you know only too well. Anyway, I have to say that Peggy is looking particularly splendid in her beautiful new dress. Very shabby chic!!!
