Colourful Rearranging

I have put lots of things away into boxes until after the kitchen is done to save them from dust. This left me with some actual space-a luxury! I had these three lamps spread around the sitting room. I really like them all together.
Greenwich market had some lovely things today that I could not resist. I was looking for pink and I found yellow. The green rose is wax and is from Belgium.
The china spiral is more than just beautiful-it is a milk bottle cover. I bought this from the bottle shop in the market. I found out today that part of the market is going to be permanently closed in March to make room for student accomodation. This is the best part of the market-the part where you can rummage around and find little pieces of history, beautiful art and all sorts of lovely things. It is one of the reasons people come to Greenwich. It's such a shame.
My Fairy Feller doll is sad at the prospect.
Last of all-some pink I found. I have stuck some in my colour book and will do something on it-not sure what yet-am waiting for inspiration to strike.

Well, I would be sad too! Perhaps there will be something else to fill in the gap this absence will create. Poor fairy. (That doll is excellent!)
Say, I love that wax rose from Belgium. Very nice. And while I am not a pink person, I look forward to seeing what you make of that last item!

I love those three little lamps! You found some great things at the market.

The milk bottle cover is intriguing. It looks as if you could start a marble near the middle and watch it roll round into the hole. To keep birds from pecking the caps?

Hi Sarah,
Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the kind words. I hope that you visit again.
Very nice rearrangements you have. It's simple but very elegant!

I love markets - can't resist them. And I buy the weirdest items - my most recent one is an old-fashioned ledger (blank) - I want to use it as a journal! Love your rearrangement!

Thanks everyone! Bot sure about the milk bottle cover but it does look as if you could do that. I thought maybe the spiral accomodates the different bottle neck sizes.
The ledger sounds great Anairam-perfect for a journal. They were also selling what looked like old house deeds this week though where they came from I don't know and have never seen anything like that for sale before.

Yes, Sarah, I admit it. I have a thing for Bill Nighy and Michael Sheen and I did indeed see Rise of the Lycans. LOL.
Say, why not use a little pointy sculptor tool, to draw the line of the mouth and then with a smoother pull up and then down some "skin" to form the lips? Give it another go, girl. You'll get it, I have no doubt!

I love Bill Nighy!
I shall persevere with the lips-thanks for the advice!
