Week of Colour-Orange Wednesday

I love orange. We have got orange curtains in the bedroom that the sun shines through in the morning. I have lots of little bits of orange and I love its cheery glow amongst other colours. Velvet bookmark-I made it when I was about twelve and have managed not to lose it so it is still used.

I love penguin books, especially the old ones. Here are two different incarnations of the penguin.

I bought this book for the cover so I'm afraid I haven't read it.

Two ladies enjoying the afternoon sun in their orange finery!

The only yellow-little ice lolly makers from the 70s. They are cereal advertising characters-Coco the monkey, Snap, Crackle and Pop and Tony the Tiger. But who is the yellow one?

I love carnelian.

This unassuming little bag is from a charity shop and was intended for role play for the children. However, it became the home of my memory sticks and is great as it is easy to spot in my work bag. All of my written work for school is in that little bag!

Another old painting-of the view from the kitchen in another flat.

Actually-looking at the ice lolly maker on here I realise it looks a bit like a Ninja Turtle so maybe they are from the 80s!

compared to blue and green, i'm having a hard time finding instances of yellow and orange around me. how neat that you buy books for their covers!!! :)

I'm enjoying your week of colour - I think I would find it hard to find much orange in the house - it's not a colour I'm drawn too!

Nice selection of orange. I'm very fond of penguin books also. Hey that's cool that you still have those cereal toys. I've no idea about the yellow one. As you say, maybe a Ninja Turtle. Or maybe the character from the Frosties cereal? I really don't know. Cute though!

Oh, I do so love the orange Penguin paperbacks. When I was young and trying to educate myself I always thought of Penguins as trusted intellectual reading material - you simply cannot go wrong if you read a book published by Penguin! They still retain that kind of magic for me ...

I love that you've kept your toys Sarah! And still play with them? The bookmark is gorgeous too - even at 12 you clearly had a well developed creative streak!

Such a happy orangey day!

Wow. I am so enjoying your colour posts. It definitely makes me appreciate your eye for photography as well as colour and it certainly gives another way to see real colours around us every day.
The Penguin covers are fun. But the two ladies taking in the sun. Are those your dolls? I love them so.
Take care!
