Doll, Dolls, Bob and Christmas Presents

This is my Yule swap doll that went to Barb in Colorado, Mother of Laume. She sent me some lovely photos today-she keeps certain Christmassy things out all year so the doll may not have to ever live in a box again! These are heads from some more paper dolls I am making-I liked the heads all together. I love using pen and ink but I always get an inky finger, like some overworked clerk from Dickens.
Can he fix it? Obviously not. This poor Bob is outside my local Sainsbury's and made me smile yesterday.
This little tube of toothpaste with his massive brush is here to illustrate something that made me smile today. I went to the office to pay my dinner money for Christmas dinner tomorrow. Ann, one of the ladies working in the office, showed me one of her presents from the children. A pack containing toothbrush, paste and mouthwash! Hmmm.

(I think this picture is a bit weird in that he is not showing his teeth!)
If anyone else would like one of the tiny dolls in my last post, let me know by email.
Nearly the weekend! Nearly the holiday!

Thanks Candace and Liz!

The face of Colorado Doll reminded me of medieval ikons. I can imagine you painting those, on wood blocks with with gold leaf and embossed metal sheet...

I have always liked icons-perhaps I will have a go.

hello sarah- the little boy in the Santa picture is my son when he was little on the lap of Daddy! He still did not quite understand even when Daddy took off the beard and wig...
LOVE your dolls, not really "dolls" they are real people with large personalities! Well done, you!

Lucky Barb to receive such a lovely looking doll. Too beautiful to put away until next year.
How's all the school festivities going?

I showed my husband your doll too and he was most impressed with it, and he is most discerning!
You will be pleased about being on holiday after all the hard work you've put in. I used to visit schools and I know how busy it got in the lead up to Christmas.
Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year, although I'm sure I'll be stopping by before then!
