My shadows this week are from the construction site I see each day on my way to work. I took some
photos last week too as it looks so interesting as the sun is rising. This week they are starting to put the sides on the building which made for more interesting shots.
Weird and wonderful though it is, I do hope they remove it after the Olympics as it does not really fit in with the formally
lovely open common on which it stands.

Every day the building gets filled in more and more. It's almost as if we want to be surprised by what they finished today. The early morning view offers the surprise of shadows and brilliance, something that adds beauty to a prosaic building. Nicely captured!
I'm glad you stopped to take the photos. Too often we pass things every day without really looking at them. Photographing something forces/invites us to look!
FOR LOVE OF SHADOW
Tell your shadow that you love her,
Spurn your shadow, if you dare.
Keep your shadow out of darkness,
Keep her in the sun’s harsh glare!

Shadows here and here
Isn't if fun and sometimes amazing where we find shadows?? I love it! And these are great ones for the day! Hope your weekend is going well, Sarah! Enjoy!

Wonderful shadow shots, amazing how shadow chasing makes us top and look at things around us differently.
the light patterns make the shots very interesting...
Great job on your SSS.
Great shadow shots.
Hello Sarah and the contrast between light and shadow is very strong here indeed! .. I understand your concern about having it down after the event .. I would be too !
Fingers crossed !

Super shots - I love the light in the last one!
It's sort of like watching history in the making, isn't it? I mean, with the Olympics being held there next year-watching everything unfold, it seems in slow motion. Love the one with the sun coming through!
Hmm! Would be a shame if the building was left in situ, blocking a more favourable view. Have a good week! Ros
Looks like it is going to be quite an interesting building! You'll have to keep us updated!
Cool!
