Light and Dark

A first visit to Shorne Country Park-only about twenty five minutes away and really lovely. It was busy, but once you leave the cafe and playground areas it is easy to be alone. It is on the site of an old clay pit, and has woods, open ground, and I think there is a lake though we did not find that today. We had a little picnic and then explored the woods. Light and dark. Hot weather and autumnal treasures such as acorns and beech nuts. The squirrel above was enjoying a snack.

Apparitions in the trees were whispering about a party for Halloween being hosted by Vanessa. Click on the picture below for details..................

So beautiful, Sarah. The low light through the trees just makes the leaves glow. It's always fun to get away from the crowds and enjoy a little woodsy time along with the squirrels.
