Shadow Shot Sunday and Continuing Olympic Building

I often walk down this alley near the local shops, and this morning it was full of leafy shadows.
A pylon, a plane and a sunset. Not really a shadow but shadow like.

The building is now covered in what looks like plastic sheeting. This side and the side facing the road look all wrinkly, but the side facing away is shaped and rigid looking. I don't know what process they use to get it like that-some kind of giant shrink wrap or something!

Wonderful shadow variation! A pretty shadowy walkway, a mysterious sky and an intriguing building!

The geometric pattern (I'll say it's a shadow :) is very cool, the airplane contrail adding a diagonal mix to the linear pattern. The walk outside is full of lovely autumnal shadows, and the building - the plastic wrap leaves the structure with a style yet to be determined...

Shadowy walkways are welcome, especially in hot weather!

SHADOW, SHADOW
(With apologies to William Blake)

Shadow, shadow lurking dark
In a corner of the park,
What immortal eye can see
Your transcendent symmetry?

I love the first shot of the lane, and the pylon looks very dramatic ... like something from War if the Worlds! I'd love to see the 'shrink-wrapping' process on the Olympic building!

Lovely shadow shots. I particularly love the pylon against the setting sun. Only a week to go until half-term. I can't wait! Have a good week. Ros

Your first photo is so pretty. Did you see the item on pylons this week? They can be attractive and less obvious.

It's not long until those London Olympics...July 2012? It looks like you will be right in the middle of the action!

You're timing to get the jet trail right over the pylon was a good one.
