Shadow Shot Sunday

Two more pictures from yesterday.
This seaweed is such a lovely green and obligingly blew in the wind when I held it up. I reminded myself of Candice Marie in 'Nuts in May'.
If you have never seen this film I would recommend it!
The steps down to the beach.
Visit HeyHarriet here for more shadow shots from around the world.

Seaweed can be ugly, at least in Long Island Sound, many brown varieties. Yet here is a delicate leaf of seaweed in a lovely emerald green. Weed can be a negative tern, but not here...

The blue sky reflects on the saltwater below. THe beach is beautiful, the handrail shadows leading us to the sand and sun...

The sea looks so blue! The shadows on the steps are very clear, but then you said you got hot so I guess the sun was brightly shining :-)

The shadows on the steps really have a nice effect. Looks like a lovely place to visit and spend the day.

Love the blue water and the shadows on the steps! And seaweed can be pretty sometimes and it did make a terrific shadow shot for you! Enjoy your weekend!

I don't know the film - but it sounds good - will see if I can trace it. I have seen so many great BBC films over the years that just the word BBC seems to be a recommendation in itself! I see it was made in 1976 - the year I matriculated - eeeeek. PS Love your new header photo - I think that shot is very wabi-sabi - the beauty of something quite simple and 'imperfect'...

GORGEOUS shot of the walkway to the beach! Oh I am envious , must get a holiday together soon...Though when I do go to England I want to stay and stay and stay.
I love the personalities of various seaweed, each has it's own beauty- yours is very beautiful and such a rich colour! GREAT!

Oh that seaweed! The colour is glorious! Shiny deep jade colour - I can almost smell the salt air that's lifting it for that great shadow shot!

I read the previous post - it looks like a super cool beach full of fossils and (Norman?) castles!

Have a lovely week ahead!

Lovely shadow shots. Which reminds me, not to leave the camera at home when I leave for the seaside.
Have a great Sunday!

Love both photos. Nuts in May is excellent, just thinking about Keith is enough to put me off camping!!

Lovely shot! So artistic.

Love the steps most. Remids me a cemetery with the cross.

Have nice Sunday.
