OOOOOOOkLAHOMA Where the wind comes whistling down the plain, and Shadow Shot Sunday

I only recently discovered what SOOC means-straight out of the camera-if you are like me and don't know! The photos in this post are all SOOC. I seem to spend so much time in photoshop I thought I would give it a rest for a few days! I have been really terrible at de-cluttering this summer, despite my big plans. I did the back room then just gave up! I also can't seem to keep away from charity shops for very long. I have bought some great things over the summer though, and above is evidence of one of them. I shall explain soon-though you can probably guess what it is! You can see my big felty mouse, who has stopped reading the manual and is looking after a weird felty footballer who is injured, or pretending to be.

This bench is one of the great things I bought-ebay, and not very much. It is a perfect doll prop, an excuse I use for myself quite often when out shopping. Seated on the bench are some dolls I made last week. I will explain another day too! The sun obligingly came out and gave them their shadows.

Cassie enjoying the sun and making a lovely shadow. I love the way she has got her big paw in the air.

Male and female dancers in Oooooooklahoma which I enjoyed on the telly today whilst ironing, and tapping my foot along! I love musicals but Andy really doesn't, so luckily he was out!

Below is a film of part of the main song-brilliant!

Oaklahoma!!! Love it! My Mum used to sing "Oh what a beautiful morning" to me in her incredible operatic voice on the way to school in the morning! :0)

Love your dollies but Cassie is my fave!! Of course because I'm a tragic cat fancier!

Hope you are having a super Sunday!

Oklahoma is surely one of my favorites, too. Your dolls are so fun and cute, but Cassie stole my heart! Fun shadow shots for the day! Hope your weekend is going well! Enjoy!

So, it seems I have a namesake across the pond! Cute ShadowShot. Oklahoma is one of my favorite musicals...whenever there is a (close) theatre production of it I make sure to take it in. Have a great week!

The family on the bench- too cool! and your surprised mouse is so endearing, nearly as much as Cassie...but Oklahoma? Must agree with Andy on this one-Did it in high school and hated every moment, every song...was only one of the chorus but it grated on me nerves.

oklahoma,
my very first theater experience as a child. so of course i had to take my son as his introduction too.
we happened to be in New York, my mother, young son and myself.
nothing like the BIG apple for a great theater fix. adrian LOVED it!!! and so did we.

cassie is adorable!!

I am really partial to soft and fluffy animals - stuffed like the mouse or real like Cassie. I have a collection of bears in my wheelchair van, and they fit into my moods well - changing the bear that sits under the windscreen, so all the bears get a view (of course, I didn't say that this behavior was rational :>)

I have to say, Oklahoma is O.K!

Love your dolls on the seat, the shadows are lovely, and a nice Cassie shot, she looks pretty happy.

My favorite song from Oklahoma is "Poor Jud Is Dead."

He looks like he's asleep
It's a shame that he won't keep
But it's summer and we're runnin' out o' ice...

Oh dear.

Heh, the footballer taking a dive. You know it's a serious problem with a sport when even inanimate pretend players are doing it.

That bench is lovely, and it looks quite solid, too. Is it large enough for Cassie to sit on? That would be a cute photo!

Cassie is the cutest! And your dolls look lovely all sitting there on the bench. They look as though they're waiting for the bus. I imagine they're all heading to the nearest cafe for some cake and some gossip :)

I watched Oklahoma as well, I'd forgotten how dark parts of the story are.
Love the bench, I've started to see things in the light of photography as well, can be annoying!!

I like the bench, sadly I don't look on ebay very much.. maybe I should.
I'm not a musicals person usually though I did enjoy Chicago. I do like to watch tv or listen to the radio when ironing. It makes it bearable.

I love your dolls on the bench .... and the idea of the fake felt injury - brilliant!! Despite my best intentions I bought another book in a charity shop yesterday - but it's a wonderful book on Shetland lace knitting, so I had to have it!!

Hehe, must...not...edit...photo. It takes determination for me to not tweak those pics in Photoshop. Your SOOC's look great.

Glad you took a break from ironing and O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A! To send out a post. My fav shadow shot is Cassie in the sun. Kitties are connoisseurs of the sunshine.

Sweet shot of Cassie, for sure! I never heard of SOOC! Most of my shots are SOOC...I never knew the acronym or meaning of it! Learned something new here.
Love the dolls on the benches too. Great Ebay finds!

De-cluttering is not easy. In fact, it's sometimes painful deciding to finally part with some things. BUT OH! It's so wonderful when the stuff is finally gone. :)

I can't be in the same room if a musical is on the TV!!!! They make me feel slightly violent!

Love the bench. Can't believe how many felty buddies you now have!

Fun with as-they-are photos, Sarah! I often use SOOC photos... it's liberating in strange way not to Photoshop pics to death... LOL! Oklahoma... haven't seen that in years! Happy Days ((HUGS))

Sweet kitty shadow:) Those old musicals can certainly put a song in your heart!

I used to sing "I'm Just A Girl Who Can't Say No". My mother was horrified! Ha. I so love Cassie's shot. Aren't their paws works of art themselves? Love these photos, Sarah! You are quite the photographer. x

My photos are all SOOC! I so want to learn Photoshop, I love how shots can be enhanced. Actually, I can't afford Photoshop, but I have GIMP - which is a free alternative ... Haven't really explored it though.
