Happy New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The rest of this post does not have anything to do with this but I wanted to say it anyway!

I love blog reading. I love the weird journeys it takes you on which you would never otherwise have taken. I now know that there is such a thing as a space bubble-and here it is. Isn't it beautiful? I found it here. I found it through the comments on this post by looking at the profile of this person here . He has a very good idea-or his daughter does about how to control uncooperative traffic lights by saying 'Magic Monkey' over and over again until they turn green.
I have been having a lovely holiday doing lots of creative things and seeing family and friends. I have not however taken photos of my creativity so I have looked through my disordered files of pictures and picked a couple that took my fancy. Birds waiting for some free food on Blackheath pond. (Though I suppose the concept of free may not occur to birds) A robin who had the courtesy to pose for a photo in my garden last year(though again-courtesy?) I am Johnny Morris. Lovely PVA glue with poster paint ready for mixing. It reminds me of Clarice Cliff pottery.
The result with sand added-children (and me!) love sandy glue.

Happy New Year Sarah. I love the journeys I take in blogland. I never know where it might take me. It's so frustrating though sometimes when you've got lost and can't find your way back to somewhere. Also I tend to loose time when I'm blog reading. I just wonder how much time everyone else spends there as well.

Happy New Year, Sarah! I love blogging too. I was very wary of it at first but now I am so glad that I took the plunge. I enjoyed your pictures!

Happiest of everything, Sarah!
One of the highlights of the old year was becoming a citizen of Blog, and getting to know and meet others such as yourself. You're right, it takes us on journeys we may not have gone on otherwise plus these artists are indeed so inspiring.

Say, Space Bubble is fantastic! Thanks for showing us that.

hello Sarah !

Me too I wish you a happy New Year !

I wish you joy in your home , not to much jealousy on your cats who live a goddess life :)..., lots of fun with the kids at school ( we should share techniques we do at school with the kids ! ) and between all the schoolwork and housework, enough time to create and be creative !

My paperdoll for you is finally finished ( thanks to the time in this vacation...). I only have to wrap it up and send it off... I hope you like her... It is my first paperdoll ever...

greetings from Belgium
Inge

Happy New Year Sarah! Funny how we can think alike even before reading something; I too thought of Clarice Cliff when I looked at the PVA blob as I call them. I used to have the most delightful teapot in the Stamford shape, albeit the colors were oranges, yellows and greens. A good friend fell in love with it so naturally I gave it to her for her birthday. I wish I didn't. Her husband didn't understand the dynamics of the form and tried to lift it from the bottom. The shards were beautiful and I helped her made them into a mosaic at the entrance of their house. All this by way of saying how much fun it is to visit around Blogland and be a part of everyone's life in the ether, like a conversation with old friends, that remind us of things otherwise left in the shadows of our memory.

Happy New Year to you too Sarah! What a beautiful blog. Mine is so plain but that's probably because I've got a Mac. I used to be able to do coloured writing and big and small letters but now I can only write and (someimes) upload pictures. I am able to do gradually less and less, and suspect that soon I won't even be able to post writing, even.
I'm looking forward to going to the fan museum with you!

I like the space bubble. It is kind of like a very beautiful chewing gum bubble. Or something.

Can't remember whose blog I searched to get here, but I love the circles of rain. I'm a knitter and typist and could use some hand warmers. Maybe I will make some! Thanks for the idea and happy, happy new year for all of us. jeanne in oregon
