Shadow Shot Sunday

Woolwich has some beautiful buildings. This is the Royal Military Academy, photographed last Sunday.

We went to photograph the Olympics gun site-which looks more or less finished now. This is the other side of the road to the site.

I have worked out how they make the white covering taut-the coloured circles push it out and voila-not a giant shrink wrapping process as I formally thought!

The academy looks unique - the domes on top are outstanding! Not the onion shaped Russian ones, perhaps with a hint of India? The Olympic venue is sort of abstract, the linear exterior with the round details (windows?). The old and the new coexist in the same area...your blog header is great - merely a cat doing what cats do best!

What terrific, interesting captures! I, too, love the domes on top! My kids Dad was in the 64 Olympics and its always fun to see how each country prepares to host them! Hope your weekend is going well! Enjoy!
Oh, and I love your kitty header! Perfect!

What great photos, I love the Military Academy building and the Olympic building looks very unusual.

That strange structure is quite a contrast to the Military Academy.

I love the lighting you had for those top photos. What an interesting contrast in architecture between the top and bottom photos!

I agree with Kelly about the lighting in those first photos! Magic! That white building is quite spectacular! Enjoy the rest of your weekend Sarah!

Not only are the shadows great, but I must add that I love the misty day.

Wow! That's some far out architecture going on there! I love the older building more I think! That first shot is so pretty as are the others - what a handsome building it is!
