Shadow Shot Sunday

This week's shadows are from my trip to Southwold a couple of weeks ago. Not much sun this week and no time for shadow hunting! The first one is in the cafe on the pier where I spent a very long time waiting, and so took quite a few photos to pass the time! I was sitting on the side the sun was shining in, and it was very dazzling and hot, but lovely at the same time. A glimpse of the lighthouse through a side passage, with the bobble roofed house making its shadow.

I like the colour of these two houses next to each other. The salmon pink is very popular in the area. I like the window shadow on the blue house.

Oh, I like those colourful houses with the shadowy windows peering out to the street! I wonder what they see...

SHADOW, WILL YOU?

Shadow, will you always be
Here where I can always see
What you do and how you play?
Or will you just slip away?

These are such beautiful photos! I was going to pick my favorite but they are all my favorite! Shadows are such wonderful artistic mediums that are overlooked.
You have a wonderful eye for such things :-)

This is a seafaring town, and the look of the houses is wonderful, especially the window shadows. The centerpiece of the town is the lighthouse, the focal point for the ships in and out of port. A bit of shadowy forms are descending the functional docks...

Good shadows caught, Sarah! Must say though, I'm hooked on that blue house at the end... Reminds me of all the colorful house & colorful doorways in Notting Hill. :o) Happy Week ((HUGS))

Nice shadows---just waiting for an artist with a quick sketch pad and some colors.
