Shadow Shot Sunday

I saw this shadow in a Greenwich shoe shop and couldn't get my camera out quick enough! A painting I am doing at the moment. I am having technical difficulties adding pieces of beach china-they all fell off with only the slightest encouragement. I can't remember what I used to stick the ones on 'Blue' on. Hot glue is no good. I am trying super glue now. Maybe tile adhesive would be best. More later if it works!
Shadow box birds from last Summer. Oh the Summer!
These are not shadow shots but they are to show Patti and Ralph (Shadow shot participants) Here Bert and Ernie look out of the cat flap. They look a bit like Patti and Ralph's cats Rigby and Linus. Below they have a nose out of the window. Well Ernie does but Bertie is more concerned with giving my Mum the look of love.

How right is that?! A foot on top of a shoe!!

The shoe store leaves a cheeky shadow, some of us need to be reminded as what this purveyor sells...

The painting is elegant, each brush stroke leaving a depth of style and shadows,

What can we say about felines Bert and Ernie? They look as familiar as L and R. Long lost cousins residing at opposite sides of the Atlantic. Their poses look eerily familiar to me!

yeah the two cats looking out is an absolutely great picture. Very serendipitous - that shot of the shoe!

Lovely varied post, Sarah. The boot shot is wonderful but I giggled at Bert and Ernie looking as if they might both try to exit the cat flap at the same time - or perhaps there was a visitor the other side trying to come in . . .

The shoe photo is brilliant.

And your kitties are so cute. "The look of Love." It is such a look, isn't it.

I enjoyed getting a glimpse of your art and look forward to seeing how this painting progresses.

Congratulations on your sale of "Blue".

Thanks for showing us Bert and Ernie, and for linking to our blogs, Sarah. They do look a lot like our two. Amazing. They are brothers too?

That's a clear shadow on the shoe. I almost thought that was written on the shoe, as a joke.

Your artwork is lovely. Self-portrait?

I know what you mean about the first shot- great! Bert and Ernie look adorable.
Thanks for you comments. Now that's a thought, all 12 postcards on my walls! The latest one is proving to be more tricky though.
Hope your weekend was a good one, and your week is even better. March already- nearly!

You've got to love a shadow find like that!! Love your shot of Bert & Ernie as well -- too funny!

That is probably the best shadow shot I've seen, honest. It's like the fey arranged it just for you.
Those cats! What characters.
Maybe if you put a weight on the china after you've glued it on. Altho superglue seems THE ticket.
Great post, Sarah, thanks so much for sharing!
