Lego House

I love lego! It hasn't changed, it has its limitations and it can hurt your fingers but it just reminds me of childhood. Not the modern, build this kit lego, but the old, big pile of bricks, sorting, patience and imagination lego. I spent some time with the lego this afternoon. Danielle built a house, Fola built an aeroplane and Chloe chewed a tyre until we noticed! I built a house. Then, while waiting to photograph the children's work, took some of mine!

I put the lens right up to the windows and took interior shots. I love them! I can just imagine being in there with the bumpy floor and multicoloured walls!

Maybe I should tell my son to bring me some of Lego when he visitsthis Friday - he's now 30, but his Lego is stored safely in his loft!

I remember many hours spent playing with lego as a kid! I loved lego! There's a great photographer who creates scenes from famous films using lego and photographs them them really beautifully. I wish I could remember his name! His work blows me away. If the name comes to me I'll pop back with it. Your sweet photos reminded me of him :)

I've always been fascinated by Legos. Something about all the little blocks and the endless possibilities of what I can build with them really appeals to me :)

How amazing would it be to live in a real house made of Lego! When we were kids, my dad (always contrary) bought us an Italian version of Lego called Montini. We unfortunately did not have the architectural or engineering savvy to create anything interesting, but the pieces made pretty good missiles for our war games (hiding behind our respective beds, pelting each other, what fun!!)

When I was growing up wh had lincoln logs and tinker toys and blocks. My son had the legos. It was so much fun to watch where his imagination took him. Thanks for the memories.

This was really neat! My husband's background is Danish, so you can imagine he HAD to have Lego as a kid. I was more of a Tinkertoy girl.
