Things in Boxes For a Saturday Morning

Of course, Cassie is more of a person than a thing, but she is in a box.

And I do mean person-'Little furry person' was what my friend used to call our cat Boris.

Felty head on the way to becoming somebody.

Until then she is spending time in the box.
Coral beach in a box. We visited this beach on Skye. It is white and is made up of millions of tiny coral pieces. It is not really coral but some kind of algae, but it is coral shaped and so pretty. I took a little away with me. The other beach I stole from, was a black volcanic sand one, at the head of a loch and the foot of the Cuillins, it was a beautiful place.

Cassie in the same box on its side.

She is a little happier when there is a box around.

She could go anywhere but why she wants to be stuffed in to a box? Funny anyway.

My mum's cat prefers paper bags (or rather those big carrier bags made of paper) - she sits in them for a bit then fights her way out. Madness!

I meant to comment on your Winchelsea pix but I must have been distracted by something else (like Homer and the dog with a fluffy tail). Anyway, I just wanted to say that we went there a few years ago - see the pic here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/nedtrifle/2377362861/ - of the Triflettes on the nearby beach). You probably know that Millais painted near there and if you look at the comments on the pic you'll see somewhere made a modern Millais on my pic!. I liked Rye as well. We stayed in a freezing caravan. V. cheap but we had to buy some heaters in Hastings to survive!

Cats in boxes crack me up. These are very nice takes on the theme. I love the idea of a beach in a box.

Cassie! Cats are hilarious the way they adore boxes! I have no idea why that is. My Dad says Harry (his cat) is a person in a fur suit too. Cassie is so pretty - I love her pink paddy paws in the last shot too. P.S. Thank you for your thought comments on my blog post today.

Cats & boxes do go together. Love your little piece of Skye.

BTW--Yes, the Dahlies are mine. I find that particular brand almost addictive and decided to use them for a little humor.

Sweet Cassie! Cats are obsessed with boxes, aren't they? Our Charlie is very happy when a new box comes into the house... LOL! Just LOVE your memory box of pieces from the sea from Skye. :o) Happy Days, Sarah ((HUGS))

I didn't know that about cats and boxes - but that is obviously because I've never had cats. I like boxes too. (Expecially the ones with presents in them.) But I do quite obsessivley collect boxes because I think they might come in handy one day, and then I have to go through a whole throwing-them-out process every couple of years, because I almost always do NOT use them!
