This was taken on the last day of the summer term, and it is already a distant memory. There are bits of this and piles of that littering up the place. My feet hardly fit underneath the desk due to the space being taken for storing more piles of stuff. Each year I realise the pitfalls of the year before, and make new arrangements for efficiency accordingly. And each year I am foiled by the unexpected-phone calls from people claiming to know nothing about the special needs child who moved to another school and who's paperwork I dutifully passed on, as well as attending two meetings at his school and arranging numerous visits for him, staff meetings which are secret veils for more and added work on top of the work I already have, our nursery computer taking up to five minutes to print one photo, requests for references from people who are becoming a distant memory. The list goes on. I think my new motto should be 'expect the unexpected' (and I don't know what my old one was!)
Tomorrow is Thursday, which is nearly Friday, so a good day! I am looking forward to watching this tomorrow night as it sounds really interesting, and kind of related to Forest School.
Then I am looking forward to a quiet weekend!

Best wishes for a VERY quiet weekend. You deserve it!
It's a bit like my work table - I tidy it up for the housegroup, then within days it is buried under stuff! I've seen the trailer for the Gareth Malone programme - it looks interesting. Make sure you have plenty of time to sit and recharge your batteries over the weekend!
mmmmmmmmmmmmmm sounds familiar. At least your desk looked like this at some point. Mine hasn't for at least 2 years.
I can so totally relate to the desk thing!! I try to clean mine at the end of the week and voila! Within minutes of me getting to work on Monday morning it is an utter shambles!!! It's called being a teacher I think and I'm resigned to it now! That show looks very interesting - I wouldn't mind watching it too! Have a lovely weekend!
Hmmm! I know just what you mean Sarah. I always go back relatively upbeat and ready for the challenge. Already, we have so many new initiatives, ways of recording, changes to policies and a new six page Senior Leadership Team job description to get to grips with, that I am already in despearate need of a holiday :). Hope you have a restful weekend. Ros
That looks a bit like my work table too... tidy in the middle to work at, but with things floating around the edges. :o) Sounds like some challenging days for you lately. Hope you get some time to just relax and enjoy this weekend! Oh, and thanks for the blog love and get-well wishes! ((HUGS))
Have a lovely lazy weekend Sarah!
xx
