Pizza and a stroll along the Southbank

November the 1st is Andy's sister's birthday so we all met up for pizza at the Pizza Express on the southbank. We were actually early so had a little look around a delicious smelling food market near the restaurant. I bought more cake glitter and some Chai tea and Andy got pomegranate molasses and wild sumac-which smells lovely and is a gorgeous deep rusty red colour.
We walked back to London Bridge. I love walking along this part of the river. It is so pretty. Yesterday I noticed that the benches have lights under them. I wonder how long they have been like that?

I was strolling as I took some of these, hence the blurs!
The Oxo tower. We have been in here once only for cocktails. So expensive but so tasty. There was a most amusing full length glass door which fooled everyone drinking on the balcony into thinking it was not there (me included so I feel ok about being amused at the others!)
Art under a bridge on Southwark Street.
More art. This one was rainbow coloured which I liked better. As we were getting near enough to take a picture it changed to red! It gives the photo a much more seedy feel. I think it changed with the hour as it had just got to 6 o'clock.
The moon popped right out seconds later!

Sarah, this makes me homesick for another stroll of my own. I went to OXO and the Southbank also, the Eye was wonderful, the lovely benches... mmm. Daytime, so I don't remember the lights there or not.
These photos are simply fantastic and the blurring in this case adds to the soft romanticism and beauty of the time of day.
Wonderful!

Oh, the Southbank is one of my favorite parts of London, too! These pictures made me long for a trip and a slice of Pizza Express pizza. Sigh.

Beautiful photos- expressive and moody. The stroll along the trees looks like a painting- wonderful Autumn feel to these artistic shots!

Oh, I strolled on that very same bank! London is just so great - lots to see and lots happening always - and I'm not even talking about the touristy stuff. Must go back soon. (Love your new header - very successful!) PS The sumac - I have a small jar that I bought ages ago - about 5 years - will it still be good you think? I can't actually remember WHY I bought it because I don't know how to use it! In what kind of recipe? Let me know please!

That's so wild that you had the same full moon all the way over there that we had here!! I looked up at it too on Sunday evening and thought "wow"! I adore these photos - thank you so much for the post - it brings back happy memories of being in London! Have a lovely week! XX

What a lovely stroll! There is a place called Southbank here in Brisbane also! The pizza was probably better at your Southbank :)

I enjoyed taking the stroll with you. Loved the blurry shots. I haven't even heard of sumac! I like the sound of the cake glitter tho'.
What a tremendous header.
Have you eaten the Halloween sweets you had left?

Hi Sarah, after reading your comment, I googled 'blogger problems' - found that they had been resolved ... so here I am!! Love the photos - especially the one of the moon. I've just taken a photo of the moon (at 8am) - hope it turns out ok!! Love, Anne

Hi Sarah,
Yes Jewel is an ex racer. I really must write a bit about each of them soon. It's funny how older type names are used for greyhounds. I think it's lovely they seem to suit them. And yes, they do take up quite a bit of space when they stretch out.
What, you're not tempted by the rest of the sweets?
