Sunnyland or Aaaargh Clowns!

One day we went to the hilariously misnamed Sunnyland. A large industrial estate but with houses on too-quite nice houses but in the middle of the industrialness. We were bound for The Home Skillet, a popular café in the middle of Sunnyland which does large breakfasty type food. We waited for over an hour but in some ways it was worth it. I opted for biscuits and gravy which was a mystery to me. When it came it was like two large doughy scones, slathered in a thick kind of beige sauce which had pieces of sausage in it. Linda Sue assured me it was not as it should be-that the biscuits should be thicker and the sauce less claggy! The coffee was nice.
The outside decor kept me busy for a while.

Choosing kept Andy and Linda Sue busy for a little while.

 Tin can man.

Weird picture of woman dressed up as a chicken and seemingly laying an egg.
And now-what made the visit really worthwhile for me!
 The clown infested toilet!

Great label!

The Home Skillet looks like a gift for any photographer. I've often wondered what biscuits and gravy were, my mistake being to imagine something like digestives! The clowns would have given me the heebie-jeebies though - I find them quite menacing.

That toilet is terrifying- a sort of get on with your business and get out quick - toilet! The biscuits and gravy - If I could think of something nice to say it would only be that the company was great. Sunnyland, destination place for sure!

Weird how something meant to be so jolly can become so super creepy. Maybe their job was to scare the crap out of you. (oh, sorry) ;)

You are very brave, Sarah, I would have held it until we found another toilet!
Too bad you didn't drive up the road another 100 miles, caught the ferry so I could have taken you to some thrift shops on Vancouver Island! Looks like you had a fabulous trip. Happy memories to you.
