Shadow Shot Sunday
Last Sunday, the first day of our holiday, we visited Chillingham Castle-almost by accident as we had meant to visit the cattle but were in between visiting times. So we stumbled into one of the most haunted castles in Britain. This clip from 'Most Haunted' is most entertaining! Also look here and here if you are interested! I would love to believe in ghosts and keep an open mind. I did not see any though and as far as I can see there were none in my photos! It was quite a creepy castle though with its bloody history and its weird and wonderful collections of skulls, bones and armour. Here is a selection of shadowy shots from our visit.

Thanks for the delightful virtual tour of this historical spot with LOVELY shadows captured beautifully!
Hugs and blessings,
Great shots -each one spookier and more shadowy than the last.
Do I hear voices
in the armoury? Are there
ghosts that follow me?

I don't know -- I think you need to study these photos more closely. In those shadows might just be . . . well done! Thanks for sharing!
I saw this castle on a show on the sci-fi channel here in the states. Your pictures are lovely.

Wonderfully atmospheric photos, Sarah. So glad you were able to visit and keep an open mind, too.
Mmm. Maybe I should schedule a visit there. Castles are one thing -- haunted castles, quite another!
Take care.
