Found in Hastings

I seem to be visiting all the main resorts of the south coast this holiday. If I had my way I would go to the seaside every day though, so I am quite happy about it! Today was Hastings, which has marvellous junk opportunities, picturesque fishing huts, boats and cliffs, a funicular railway, and lots of traditional seaside fun such as fairs and amusement arcades. We parked near the beach and had a little stroll before having lunch. I found this creature as we were leaving. He is about 3/4 inch long and looks like a woodlouse. Below are some other things I found today.
A giant's shoe.
Fairground gate-it was billed as this anyway.

I quite like it, but feel it was a bit overpriced at £90!

Filigree fronted fish list.
A gypsy and her caravan (in this lovely shop)
Not overpriced, but pricey at £175.
A collection of Crucifixes.

A knight in dull armour.

A screaming blue lady.
A rainbow girl in a pizza restaurant.
A wooden white hart.

Oh, I love all these peaks. Your knight made me laugh. I, too, think the fence was pricey, but might have had a tough time leaving it there. It's marvelous.

Beautiful stuff, and photos!

I love the sea, always end up at some beaches with the children in my younger days. And when I travel I fell for those sort of items too.

Have to follow you now...

Love Hastings though it has been a zillion years since i have been there. Your finds are great- especially liking the rainbow girl- she would made an interesting doll, no? The prices of things a astonishingly high! You were being very fair about saying they were OK...Except the fair gate (?) Why would that cost so much, I don't know! Glad you shared your day- it was fun!

So pricey down south!
Lovely pics - what a lot we see in a day... no wonder our heads hurt sometimes.

Fun finds. The woodlouse looks like a giant roly-poly or pill bug. Can that variety roll up in a ball like an armadillo?

Hope you didn't take the giant's shoe home with you. Remember what happened to Jack when he tried to steal the giant's harp.

Love your seaside pics. Refreshing to this inlander.
