Thanks for the reminder of one of my favorite adventures. I hiked the Dungeness Spit all the way to the lighthouse alone. Those waves have tremendous power!
Spectacular spot. My friend, Dan at "Frogs, Dogs and Ferns" just recently did a post on someone's book about Dungeness. I only know the name for the crabs (but I've not tasted them either).
