Rock Week

Graciel, of Evenstar Art, and her friend Don, of Unconventional Questions, had the brilliant idea to have a rock week. I love rocks, I need some sort of distraction from the already mounting pressure of work and so I thought I would love to join in! Having done the work I had to do when I got home, I went into the bathroom, intending to run a bath, and vaguely thinking about which rock to feature first from the ones I collected from around the place last night. It struck me (not a rock luckily) that most of the stones I pick up are from beaches, and the first sight of them is when they are wet and glistening. So you can guess what I did next. Some or all of these rocks will have their moment of glory this week in ROCK WEEK! If anyone fancies joining in then just pop over to Graciel and sign up.
Right, I must go and take the rocks out of the bath now!

What a wonderful, fun way to start our rock week, Sarah! Rocks under water make me positively happy.

See you tomorrow!

I love the different designs, often looking at some flowers I always ask myself "Who paints these things?" I ask the same here. They are such natural beauties. I used to collect rocks shaped like hearts and one day I realized that it would be kind to give them back to the ocean. So, a warm day I walked into the ocean and carefully put all the rocks back; I felt it was a gift for a gift knowing that someone would be happy when they found them. I hope they were.

Friday is the beginning of the second part of the treatment.
Chemo gets a bit nastier during the second and third stages, but I am hopping for a lighter one than the last time.
Thank you for you sweet thoughts, you know how much I appreciate them.

I love this! I am living for the next few months on the ocean and I have thousands and thousands of wonderful rocks on my doorstep, so I'm thinking rocks and posting about rocks all the time now. I love what you said about wet rocks. For this same reason, I sometimes keep a little bowl of wet rocks in my bathroom. Thanks for the cool post! xo

Rock week is a great idea! I don't think I encounter enough rocks in a week to play along (sad but true) but you can be sure I'm going to follow along by looking at your collection... :)
