This weekend I have had loads of art things going on. I am still doing my sketchbook.
I am making halloween things for the Halloween party at A Fanciful Twist. I am making a clown doll. I retrieved what I think is a very interesting and strange step ladder out of a skip up the road-which needs work. I have rearranged my shelves yet again and have been reading some very interesting arty books. I have no pictures of any of this. I also finally managed to download Poladroid-I realise it was my lack of know how that made it impossible before, but then somehow worked it out. I love it and the magical effect it has on my photos. I have got some of those to show you!
Also I realised that I have been blogging for a year today I think. 231 posts. I have loved blogging for this year and am so happy to have met so many wonderful people through doing so. I would like to have a give away to mark the anniversary. I have a number of things to include and am going to make a written list here-as again, I do not have photos. I will do a photo post of the things later in the week.
A COPY OF "THE SECRET GARDEN" from Barter Books on my holiday.
A SET OF ROYAL MAIL PICTURE STAMPS DEPICTING POSTBOXES FROM DIFFERENT ROYAL REIGNS.
A TINY HANDMADE BOOK FROM MY HOLIDAY IN SCOTLAND LAST YEAR-IT IS REALLY TINY-LESS THAN AN INCH LONG AND THE COVER IS RED MARBLED PAPER.
ONE OF MY BIRDS-WITH OR WITHOUT A FACE-THE CHOICE IS YOURS IF YOU WIN!
A COPY OF ONE OF MY POLADROIDS-ANYONE WHO LEAVES A COMMENT CAN HAVE ONE OF THESE IF THEY WOULD LIKE.
Not sure why I did the capitals-but I started and so carried on.
I will do a draw for each item separately so there will be four people pulled out of the hat.
I will do a proper post on this later. If you are interested then please leave a comment here or on the other post and I will enter your name in the hat!

Love the giveaway idea. I loooove Scotland so you know where my heart is set and your birds are lovely, too. And of course ANY book is fine for me. Now all I need to do is win!!! :)

What a lovely post, photographs and blog!

{swooning}

Greetings from Casa Hice in Jacksonville, Florida. I found you via A Fanciful Twist and noticed you have also signed up for her Halloween Event. This is my first time, so I am utterly clueless. Any tips for a newbie?

LOVE your blog, am pleased to make your acquaintance, and am looking forward to getting to know you better.

PS: Please stop by Casa Hice any time and leave your foot prints on my welcome mat. It's always out!

Happy Anniversary and what an amazing giveaway(s)!!!

I also adore your 'In my Kitchen' post. I have one in my kitchen though, but not exactly like that, though I wish it was :)

Much love and best wishes for many more blogging years to come!

Happy anniversary, Sarah! I love the Bruges photos but the cloth doll and the church in the snowy road are so so excellent as well. It is always so difficult to decide which is your best work when it's ALL your best work...

I am really looking forward to the Poladroid photos and techniques... thanks for sharing yet again.

Take care and many many happy blog returns!

Happy Blogging Birthday Sarah!!! Sorry I missed it yesterday but I was up in Angel of the North territory 'til really late. Meeting you here has certainly improved my year - I always enjoy your posts and your endless and beautiful creative projects - and so I wish you many, many more years of blogging! Also, a very exciting draw... lots of lovely goodies, any one of which I'd be delighted to win, so please DO enter my name in the hat! :)

And yes, I was in doubt, so I wore some red shoes... and it helped ;)

Congrats on your anniversary! I love blogging and keep plugging away (though not as often as I should). I love the poladroid photos. I played with something called Rollip (I think) that made polaroid pictures out of your own and it was fun! I don't know if I bookmarked it though. Thanks for visiting me and sharing all you do!

This is to many more anniversaries filled with friendship, art, beauty and smiles. And thank you for all this time of friendship, encouraging words and sharing our personal worlds. You are very dear to me and I suspect, or at least I hope, you know that.

Oh, happy birthday, Sarah's Blog - I hope there will be many, many more to come! Of course I would like to enter my name in that gorgeous and generous hat of yours. I would actually love to enter for a birdie, but it might not be fair to expect it to fly such a long, long way to South Africa. My second choice would be the stamps. But I also love that Notting Hill polaroid!
