This construction toy is called Octagons, for obvious reasons. I love toys like this, where there are endless possibilities and children can work happily at their own level of skill. I still enjoy playing with them myself. This is today's effort. While we played there was lots of talk about colour, shape and size, so it was all to the good!
The other picture is of mint flowers which Hana was looking at. I have never really noticed mint having a flower, let alone what they look like, so here they are.

I had this game in the 60s/70s. I absolutely loved it! If I had some in front of me right now, I'd be good for an hour or so.

These look like a lot of fun. Maybe I need to get me some!!

Lovely photographs! I never noticed mint having flowers either? Are you sure it's mint? :) It looks a bit like lavender to me...
Oh, I remember these flowery toys - great fun! I love that you still get to play with toys as part of your work - very very cool!
I wonder if the mint flowers taste minty too or if it's only the leaves and the flowers are just pretty?
Lovely flower toy - it actually makes a gorgeous colourful photo - have you thought of enlarging it and framing?
These toys are truly amazing. I love all the colours. The mint flower is beautiful, too. My dad's plant has bloomed and I used some of the flowers with minced meat.
Hi, Sarah! I could play with toys like that forever! Looks like fun! :-)
I love the shapely echos between the two photos. And, I love toys like this.
We have octagons in our house and they are endless fun :)

I don't think I had or have them but it looks great. I need to find some. LOL.
Do love these photos and what you are doing with the kids. And that colour could be added on to shape, extra fine!
Playing catch up is always fun. I feel like I've sat down for a nice visit with you. Oh no, bendy naked men do not bother me AT ALL. lol. I have heard of this artist and am happy to see some work finally.
Take care!
