Weekword-Time

Anairam invited me to take part in weekword this week. Each week one of the participants chooses a word and this is illustrated in some way by the others-a photo, drawing, story, object-however their imaginations work. Have a look at a couple of examples here and here... This week Anairam chose the word 'time'. This is my interpretation-a scale showing the relationship between time and ideas-you can see what has happened! Time is a lightweight!
I also thought about not throwing time away, and took a few photos of some old watches bought at the scary Deptford market to illustrate this. I really like these watches but have not managed to use them in any way yet-well, apart from these photos.

Excellent! I love the photos of the watches (why is Deptford market so scary?) The header image is my favourite - looks like it's submerges which of course makes me think of a drowning (too many Ruth Rendell books, I'm afraid)!

Ideas:Time ratio? Perfect!

Hi, Sarah! You are oh-so-right! Ideas far outweigh time! There are so many great ideas ... so many super things to think up and try to do ... and so little time to do them all in! Love your art journal page! :-)

"Ideas far outweigh time"...Oh, yes, I can so relate to that! An excellent and amusing interpretation of time, Sarah. This is a great idea, this word play. Your photos of timepieces are wonderful too...very much in keeping with the theme of the day... Will this be something you participate in weekly? Look forward to seeing more! Happy weekend, my friend :o)

I love it! On the one hand it could mean that one has so many ideas and so little time to execute them all, and another interpretation could be that a good idea outlasts time! I must say I really like your collection of old watches - and the photo that you have used for your header especially ...

it would be soooo nice if we could have time to realize all of our ideas. I guess we have to choose the best ones...
I notice that even your banner is participation to the week word. Nice!

An interesting way to look at time.
Mike and I are always sharing loads of ideas, then we wonder where the time has gone!
