Shadow Shot Sunday

Shadow doll.

Wellies! Bought at the jumble sale today for 25p a pair! A bargain. I got seven pairs altogether. They are for Forest School as spares. I also bought this mallet for 50p. It doesn't look much but will be most useful for banging in stakes should my home made one break. I have to rope off the area where we do Forest School using blue rope which the children are not allowed to cross!

Early morning shadow in the old mirror in the bedroom. That's not dust in the mirror (honestly!) it is old and speckled. I think it is more of a shadow than a reflection.
Visit HeyHarriet here for more shadows from around the world!

Old speckled mirrors are just so beautiful! "Foxing" is the official term methinks! Why foxing?

I love your shadow shots - the doll is my favourite. I was very interested in your forest school posts. My daughter is a P1 teachers as is tryng to get on a course, but the head does not have the fundng - boohoo. She has established an outdoor classroom though and the chldren have loved it. I must tell her about your blog.
Thanks for dropping by.

Love those wellies! I have lilac ones which I'll be wearing when we go to visit the organic dairy farm this week.
That looks like a meat mallet(or am I mistaken)?

I really like the new header with the moon.

Hope you're having a great weekend.

Lovely shadow doll.
What a bargain the wellies and a mallet.
You were nearly right with your guess, it's Cumbria.

Old wooden mallet,
battered from decades’ pounding,
what tales can you tell?

The shadow doll looks very interesting - a cross between a ballerina and Minnie Mouse? And I love the wellies - especially the pink ones - I think Kendalee might just come and steal those butterflies away! (PS I had such a laugh at your comment about putting things on your list after you've done them in order to tick them off - I do exactly the same thing!! I've never admitted it to anyone, though - it sounds a little crazy. Or obsessive. I am SO relieved that someone else does it too - ticking things off on a list is very comforting, I think ...)

Sarah I would love to go back to that wedding today. Even if it didn't change I would have at least enjoyed it this time, if by no other method than laughing my head off.

Love you.
