Then, looking on Amazon, I saw another book by Danny Gregory called "Everyday Matters". I received this on Saturday morning and read all of it there and then. It is a lovely, touching book. Both books are really inspiring.
Three more days of school to go and I can't wait for the holidays now! Monday is our Pirate picnic day and yes, I am dressing up! Tuesday is Forest School and Wednesday is the last day, hurray! I have friends coming to stay at the weekend so Thursday is the big push to get the house tidy enough for that. Friday I might actually do nothing except read and watch films! Hope you all have a good week!

Those books look very interesting! Not long now until your visit - we've even made the effort to clean the windows!!
Hi, Sarah! The books look like fun! Thanks for sharing them! :-)
That first book looks SO great - exactly the thing I would enjoy, but as I feel I spend too much time looking at other people's lovely work instead of attempting my own, I've put a (temporary) hold on buying any new art books ... Oh, YAY for holidays! You must enjoy yours, and I hope to see a picture on your blog of your pirate outfit! PS I've chosen the weekword for this week here:

and was wondering if you would like to play along this week? It is open to anybody, and it is such fun to interpret the word - and with your creativity I'm sure you could rustle up something in 10 minutes flat! No pressure, I just thought I would let you know!
Those books look great! I hope you have a fun weekend with your visitors.
Danny Gregory's blog was one of the first I discovered - via his book Everyday Matters, which I love. It, he, inspires me to draw, even though I'm really rubbish at it. He also got me hooked on, and exploring the world of blogging... long before I started my own. Very talented and lovely man. I haven't invested in the new book yet although it's on my amazon wishlist. I might just do so now that it comes with your recommendation too!
Oh, I do love Danny Gregory's Everyday Matters. I'll have to get An Illustrated Life.
