It is hard to find words to say about the events in Japan. Obviously it is awful and will continue to be so.
Here is a place to give practical help if you can. I have pictures of calm and serene water from today. Lucky us living somewhere that is calm and serene.

Water can be so soft and beautiful, colorful and life giving. Your photos express that perfectly.
Water can be so violent and terrible, devastating and destroying. The events in Japan express that all too well.
Thanks for the heads up on the author Danny Gregory. Loving his book, The Creative License.
Your photos look like here, where Dexter likes to hang out. water has become second nature to us- looking out over the bay, walking along the creek AND the ever present rain. This is a watery place.
i had to be outside today....and silent. i saw the seasons first robin...birds sang through the lofty breezes and i prayed.
A perfect post in relation to the horrible events in Japan. As important and beautiful as water is, it certainly does have a dark streak...
Your photos are in stark contrast to the terrifying pictures from Japan. I cannot begin to imagine the terror of it all. Nature can be truly devasating.
It is hard to comprehend the horrors - to have whole towns swept away. Your photos provided a calm moment!
What a horrible event! Makes you appreciate things you take for granted, doesn't it?

THank you Sarah for this peaceful tribute for the people of Japan. I have a special affection for Japanese people. Thank you for the link, also good thoughts and prayers are powerful too!

Thank you for this Sarah. It so beautifully sums up what has been so hard to put into words. The TV footage has been so desperately sad. Ros
Your pictures are so pretty! It's definitely a very sad situation in Japan!
I am glad that you are able to see my blog again!
So poignant. Beautiful post, Sarah.
