It was Forest School today, and Catherine rushed over to tell me that she had found a squirrel's house! She knocked on the door but he wasn't home. We hope he will be next time!
I altered this face, with the hope of merging it with a dandelion. I am still merging but it is not turning out quite as I had hoped! It is weird trying to do painting electronically-weird but addictive-and has the great advantage of no mess!
Not altered-just a lovely dandelion.
And another one. In the mess that is the garden, there are some lovely tiny sights.
I love this plant-I think it is called
Cerinthe. It self seeds, and nothing seems to deter it. It has such strange colouring-each flower looks slightly different, as if it had been painted with watercolours.

Hi, Sarah! Fabulous story about the squirrel's house! :-)
I love the idea of knocking on the squirrel's door!!
Aww, a squirrel's house - little children are so innocent! I love the flower - it looks really pretty.
Poor Mr. Squirrel does not have a latch on his door- he probably can not figure out how to open it- I am pretty sure he was at home having toast ...perhaps you should put a latch on it for him.Anyway, that door is for company only, he rarely uses it- goes through the upstairs door- the one you can't see.
I am wishing I knew how to use photo shop...you are brilliant.
Such a sweet little squirrel house! LOve those dandelion photos and the latered face....... quite surreal! Ros
Oh Sarah, thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement. It has helped so much hearing from my friends, online and r/l. Oh and I love your photos of your life. Such creative expression of it all. I especially love the "squirrels home". Lots of love. x
a suggestion sarah, if you don't mind...why not merge the face to the squirrel house?
LOVE that plant! I wonder if we have it here...I have to look into that, thank you!
i'm sorry to lower the tone, but the tree just looks a bit rude to me!!! :) I am impressed by your macro photo skills, when I try to snap plans they always blur.
Catherine's squirrel house is too adorable! She's so imaginative :)
