Alium must be chives? The flowers look like what I call chives, anyway. I let them go to flower and the bees appreciate it.

By the way, I love London. Can't wait to visit again in 2011!

Lovely! Our chives are flowering - being part of the onion family they look like your alliums, just smaller! - but none of the clematis are out yet.
