Growth

Weeds, Kitten and flowers. All growing madly and loving the sunshine.
This weed is Green Alkanet I have discovered tonight.
It is a nuisance in the garden but is so pretty. In the description I read it is
supposed to like damp shady spots. Not true! It grows anywhere. The flowers are edible though and would look lovely on a salad or little cakes.
Cassie about to eat grass.
I don't know the variety of Iris but I love them. I have to go out
morning and night as the flowers go so quickly.
I have kind of missed the last few sunny days as I have had flu,
but I have taken photos each day.

when you get into the habit of taking photos everyday, i find that the day is not complete unless a shot is taken.

Hope you're feeling better now, Sarah - half-term beckons :-)
I like the green alkanet - don't think I've ever seen it before. I like iris too but never seem to be able to grow them.

Hi Sarah, hope you are keeping better - I guess you are susceptible to colds and flu working with children!! Funny how we both had a photo of the same plant - great minds etc!! Did you know that dogs eat grass to make themselves sick? Love, Anne

Hi, Sarah! Love the close-up of Cassie in the long grass. And your iris is stunning! :-)

Cassie has grown so much! I hope you are feeling better, I absolutely despise the flu in any of its nasty incarnations. Have plenty of tea and keep on resting even when you feel better. The body needs it. Hugs from here.

I love that picture of Cassie! So good! We have purple irises growing around our mailbox. I actually found them several years ago growing under neath a fallen tree. I transplanted them and this is the first year that they have bloomed. They are beautiful flowers! Sorry to hear that you had the flu. I hope you are feeling better now!
