By the light of the silvery moon...

..is where Cassie spent a very long time tonight-in Joe's garden next door. She was chasing something, and refused to come in. So I have had to stay up longer than I wanted-but it gave me a spare half hour for photoshop. The silhouette is from a book of them I bought in the charity shop. I removed the background and then saved it as a png file. When you remove the background you can see a chequer pattern which is invisible when the picture is overlayed onto another one.
Then I remembered this song. I seem to know loads of old songs-possibly from films, or from my Nan. This is a good one! Cassie is in now so I am off to bed!

Beautiful silhouettes and musical choice Sarah, I'm a huge fan of Fats and his songbook!

I Love your silhouettes, and I too remember that song. It was a favourite of my dads.

Lovely calming music, although I am listening to it in the morning and the moon has disappeared.
Have you been using Photoshop long? I've heard that it is difficult to use.
She made me think of this http://www.folksy.com/items/538273-Hare-and-Moon-Pendant

Oh Sweet Sarah- LOVE what you are doing with photoshop, wish I could hang out beside you and learn something! and that song is one my mother sang all the time while working in the kitchen...sentimental, that!

It seems to me that the beginning of that song sounds familiar but the words don't. Very pretty song!

Love what you did with photoshop. Too cool!

Thank you, Cassie - if you hadn't kept Sarah up late we wouldn't have seen and heard this - great:-)

When our girls were small, an old man in a streetmarket in France made silhouettes of them. I recently had them framed together and I really love it. I also have photos of him actually making them, and I will tape them to the back.
