Yesterday and Today

This is my brother Antony, altering my polka dot wall while Andy cooks something delicious. It was creativityville here last night. Although it was fun drawing on the wall I did actually really like it before! Now it has become a journal wall of a sort. I will take pics to show you but then I may scrub it off and go back to the graphic simplicity of my dots! Another of Antony's journal pages-from Angkor Wat. I looked at lots of his photos at the weekend. I would love to go there as it looks amazing.

I worked at home this afternoon-we have something called PPA time-planning, preparation and assessment-today was the turn of assessment-oh joy! While I was working I noticed the beautiful light display going on on my kitchen ceiling. I am very easily distracted!

During another 'brain break' I went into the garden and took a few photos-I loved the colours in this one. The snails rule outside at the moment.

At about 4 o'clock I decided to go to the garden centre to buy a birthday present for my friend at work. However the road was shut so I had to detour back past the common where there is a fair at the moment. It was such a gorgeous afternoon-so good for photos. Funder Park. Hmmm! Next I decided to go to Greenwich to see HMS Illustrious which is visiting from Portsmouth as part of the Royal Navy's celebration of 100 years of naval aviation. It is big and impressive and made the ferries look tiny.

Then it seemed a shame not to go and have a look in the bookshop. It was busy in Greenwich as there was a French food market on as well as the attraction of the ship. Once in the bookshop I then could not resist a number of purchases-one was a present is my excuse! I bought a fantastic book of Penguin book covers. Such beauty and great design. Then I had to get out lots of our penguins to see more beauty and great design in reality!

That sounds like a super day (apart from the work bit!)

The light show was amazing. What do you think it was Sarah?

Do you think it was angels visiting an angel?

Your brother's art is amazing.

Love Renee xoxo

Sounds like a perfect time. And I sometimes find the distraction facilitates the work. Inspirational light show... And I mean, it's important to set one's mind at rest about the well-being of the snails in order to be able to work well, isn't it? Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Fabulous post! Love that light show... or was it more bling on wings? LOL.
The colours of green and blue together, wonderful! It's like my kitchen.
Your brother's art is always a treat.
Have a good good weekend.
