Found Poem

A while ago Shell posted about diving into word pools and writing poetry from your finds. The idea stayed in the back of my mind. Last Saturday I went for a walk to take a break from work and I photographed words. I printed them, made new words from longer ones, and played around with them to make my poem. I enjoyed fiddling around with the words until it seemed right.
Well, after a whirlwind week of colour and report writing I now have the messy house from a tidy person's nightmare. I am almost looking forward to tidying it and relaxing in it for a while before it makes itself into a mess again!

This is cool! I have one of those books with the magnetic word tiles. I went on a bit of a spree with them last year and posted about 4 poems that I pieced together.

Thanks Shell!
And Kat-yes-I thought of those tiles when I was doing this! I had fun on my sister's fridge last year with them!

Oh this is great Sarah! I also love found word poetry and have a set of fridge poetry that is such fun! What I always loved was the poems that visitors would make and leave like little gifts. In the flat I'm in at the moment, my fridge is built into a cupboard and so I don't have it out but now that you've reminded me of it, I think I'm going to buy a small whiteboard to put it up on...

Happy (now) sunny Saturday to you!

LOL. Fun, pure and simple. I have a magnetic word tile book I play with on my fridge now and again. Always a good time.
This is a great idea.

a delightful merging of the visual and verbal. i love how it hints at a ransom note.
