Strange Happenings

A ballerina appeared on the mushrooms.

Three Phoenixes (phoenixes?) arose.

A Harpie appeared on the evil root of ivy.

The moon shone in the day.

After a long day of gardening, I had a snooze with Lily, and these words came into my head as I woke up..
"Today I touch a place where there could be words, and let the wild wood guide me."
I don't know what they mean but I like them!
Here's to a good week with no more strange happenings.

Sometimes...

...it is three days into a new month before I notice. Being in the garden reminds me of the seasons passing with the beauty of dried seed heads.
...I do things in photoshop without knowing how I did them, but like the result anyway.
...beautiful seedheads look like...
...tiny monsters-on closer inspection.
...things out there remind me of fairy stories. Today I was the prince, hacking through the forest of evil ivy, to rescue the fair maiden the fence.
...tiny bugs have great names-this little, nearly camouflaged shield bug was one of many creatures I saw today-including a huge dragonfly. It flew over the garden quite high up, then away over the roof of the house.

...preparation is just as much fun as doing the thing prepared for. Making these rolags on my new wool carders is one of my favourite things at the moment.

...I can get through a whole blog post without an exclamation mark!-almost-just can't do it.

Garden Rainbow

A rainbow of flowers from my garden.

Abutilon. When I heard the name first I thought it was 'A beauty lon'!
