Countering the negative

Good things this week to make up for the leaking boiler (only discovered last night after the water had soaked completely through the laminate shelving-so much so that it started to drip), the broken reversing light (pointed out to me last week-no time to fix it yet) and the lack of internet connection for a couple of days. Stormy autumn weather-meaning that it seemed cosy inside the nursery looking out, and there was lots to talk about relating to the weather-we are in England after all and what is more important than that?!
A crescent moon (the white blob) over the houses up the hill. It looked like a scene from 101 Dalmatians-the twilight barking is what it made me think of.

A new magazine-Stella-focussing on women for what they do rather than what they look like or have. Sweet. Lovely pictures and simple articles interviewing lots of interesting creative types. The article on patchwork made me want to start a new one-and it will be very small-the other one I started is still not finished. I am using an old pair of jeans-lovely soft denim with varying blues-hard on the fingers though!

Thank goodness it is Friday tomorrow!

I took a shot of a crescent moon tonight too! I haven't loaded it to my laptop yet (actually I took about 10 shots and haven't seen what they really look like - it's not too impressive in the camera's window).

I'm sorry to hear about your boiler. I haven't experienced that, but I do know what it's like to have a leaky roof.

A good moon to howl at...but maybe from inside where it's warm. Stella looks like a great idea for a magazine. Best wishes with the quilt. It looks like a great project. Hope the broken things get fixed soon.

Look on the bright side - at least the boiler broke down now, rather in the middle of the winter!! I enjoyed to doggy clip! Have a good weekend.

TGIF!
I took a moon photo the other evening too, when the sky was turquoise blue. Naturally, I had to watch the video clip - it caused Jenna to bark :-)
I like the look of that magazine - there's something very innocent about the illustration.

When it rains, it pours as the saying goes, 'eh... but not much comfort in those words... LOL! Sounds like you've had a lot going on lately, Sarah. Do hope things even out soon! VERY much look forward to seeing more of your patchwork! Happy Days :o) ((HUGS))
