Such a beautiful sky all day today. We had showers this afternoon that caused a lot of excitement in the children-they love a change! Saffire said that the rain is 'the clouds coming down to the ground' which I really liked. I started drawing rainbows, then one of the children started a craze for rainbow kites. One more day of similar fun tomorrow and then I can do all the other things that get put on hold all year. I am very happy about that!
The photographs give me a good idea of what sort of day it was. We have had our first dull day for weeks. It was quite delightful, even some proper rain!
ReplyDeleteI expect you have lots planned for your break. I look forward to reading about what you get up to. You are always so busy and creative.
Beautiful shots, all of them! I love photos of the sun bursting through the dark clouds, so dramatic.
ReplyDeleteWe keep getting rain here, but instead of being refreshing, it just adds to the humidity :/
Wowie- I want to live in that sky! Such incredible beauty! ALL DAY! Lucky!
ReplyDeleteHi, Sarah! I love taking pictures of clouds, too! Looks like you had spectacular ones of every shape and size! I particularly like the tall fluffy one with the dark grey bottom, surrounded by much smaller dumpling friends! :-)
ReplyDeleteYour pictures of the sky are amazing!
ReplyDeleteHope you have lots of creative fun during your break!
Fabulous photos! I am sure you have lots of wonderful projects to work on over the next few weeks - I look forward to seeing the results!! Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteThey remind me of that scene in Amelie when she's photographing the clouds...
ReplyDeleteOddly enough, a friend and I saw a dragon in the clouds just yesterday.
These are glorious! Number two and five are my faves although I'm quite partial to a sun burst of light through stormy clouds too (last one). We've been getting some lovely cloud scapes (particularly at sunset) too recently - I just adore them!
ReplyDeletegreat cloud pics!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful skies! I love seeing the sun's rays contrasting with the ominous clouds. Did you have a rainbow? I hoped for one yesterday but it didn't transpire.
ReplyDeleteEnd of term - lovely feeling - all that time stretching ahead!
SPECTACULAR photos, Sarah! I just love when the sun bursting beams through the clouds! Sky-gazing, cloud-watching... one of my fave pastimes. Do you know about The Cloud Appreciations Society? http://cloudappreciationsociety.org/ Happy Weekend ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteGreat selection - especially towards the end.
ReplyDeletesuch dramatic skies. The streamers are just awesome in every sense of the word. But the dimensions caused by the shadows and light are wonderful too.
ReplyDeleteWorking with kids give you new eyes on the world.
I love staring at clouds and today in Italy we had a major storm, hence spectacular clouds - they were so amazing some people on the street were actually taking pictures. I should have snapped some, too.
ReplyDeleteThere was no rainbow though I really thought there should be-only the ones we drew!
ReplyDeleteStunning photos. I miss English clouds.
ReplyDeleteHope you have an enjoyable weekend
Abi
