Shadows and Postcards

The sun is out now as I write. It has not been out much recently so it is very welcome! Below is a shadowy scene from the kitchen-flower and twig lights in a vase that brighten up the evening, and make pretty shadows in the day. Shadow shot Sunday is here at HeyHarriet. Postcards from Paradise is here at Recuerda Mi Corazon.
Yellow and white with a hint of blue are the first postcard-straight from the kitchen again!

Red sunset on Friday night.

  2. The hint of shadow on that luscious daffodil reminds me that light and darkness like to play with each other--sometimes a bit too roughly, it seems!

    MANY SHADOW-SEEKERS SAY

    Many shadow-seekers say,
“Oh, the one that got away!”
Why are you so uptight, folks?
Can’t you take light’s little jokes?

I too, am a teacher. I am having a great time phototgraphing many things in nature that I, apparently, was blind to before. I'll check back to see more of your blog sometime. Mickie :)

  22. The indoor shadows are lovely - the brilliant sun outside is not confined there alone, but the walls inside are now alight. If we have been deprived of sun for awhile, such solar brilliance at least on the walls brightens our spirits and get us in the mood for Spring...

  23. I love the shadows of the twigs, they are more dramatic aren't they, almost like small trees. The daffodil is the hope of Spring coming soon. And the lovely sunset with the tree branches against the horizon is stunning. Beautiful postcards, Sarah. Thank you.
