Bright or Pale? Shadow Shot Sunday

Flashes of bright colour in the classroom after school,
were what made me stop and take pictures.

Collecting pictures for a journal related to beach combing,
was the reason I took the other two pictures.

Some days I like bright things, on others I prefer pale.

  2. I like the classroom - the clutter combined with the filtered sun leaves excellent shadows! The fun part is lining up the shadow with the subject and seeing the differences - the chair legs under the table seem so different than the actual legs, the long sun distorting things pleasingly!

  3. All kinds of wonderful light play in the classroom. Amazing how we take shadows and light variances for granted until we photograph- love this Sarah and the seashells and jar are works of art on their own- they are beautiful as collages just the way they are! wow!

  9. Quiet but not empty, your classroom speaks of creativity and opportunity, and fun. Love how the sun sparkles through the room. And how your treatment of your beach combings have turned them into artworks.

  10. I think we should enjoy the bright days while we have them! Still pouring down here, very depressing. But I know what you mean about sometimes wanting quiet colours...a product of hectic school life maybe? And the primary colours they seem to think all children like.

  16. That classroom photo brings back such memories. All are good, bright OR pale. Glad things are settling and I do love the beachcombing shot, too!
